Election
- To be elected, a judge must have an absolute majority in each of the 2 organs
- In the GA, parties to the ICJ Statute who are not members of the UN participate equally
- Absolute majority is 50% of the total of UN members and non-UN member parties to the ICJ Statute plus 1
- In the SC, absolute majority is 8
- Permanent members do not have a veto
